 Could you try rebuilding pcre/libpcre.a and compare the compiler flags that are used there to the ones used in the main src directory? Maybe that will enable someone to see a configuration error.

 If that doesn't help, then try disabling the #define HAVE_PCRE at the start of struct.c, and remove the pcre references in the Makefile, and most normal uses of hypermail should work, although you won't be able to use regular expressions in some options.
