Greetings:

I've had Hypermail up and running for a few days, and need some help understanding how attachments are treated.

Many users are attaching MSWord and/or MS-Excel files to their messages. When viewing the message in the archive, there is a reference that an attachment exists (ie application/msword attachment: status0612.doc). However, the link within the hypermail message points to a file called bin24267. If the user clicks on the link, the binary file is opened.

Q: Is there a way to preserve the original file name? Q: Is there an entry I can make in the server mime.types that would recognize these files as ones that should be saved (via a browser prompt) and not opened?
