Just wanted to put in my two-cents re: SWISH .......

I've been a SWISH user for several years now and the new SWISH-E is very worthwhile. Low overhead and versatile. Searching by META tags is fully supported (even totally unconventional meta tags that you define yourself). The index files are a bit big (sometimes almost as big as the files indexed) but SWISH is, hands down, the best search tool for under $1,000 (it is free, I'm sure you know).

Also, an even more enhanced SWISH-E is on the verge of being released......

All the best from,
