The FAQ says that there are tools to break up hypermail archives in the archive directory,

  1. Are there? the only thing I saw was a python script, is that what the FAQ refers to?
  2. Why can't I just use a cron job to copy out the mailbox and archive directory monthly, Isn't that all the script would be doing?
  3. maybe not-- how are replies generated the next month typically handled? (I.E. In July, I reply to a June post, which month does it usually go in?)

BTW- Thanks alot! This is one of the most helpful lists I've used. Received on Wed 29 Aug 2001 05:12:02 PM GMT
