I've checked in a change that improves the handling of messages that are missing the starting mime boundary but do have an ending boundary. The text up through the end boundary is now treated as a plain text message body.
Ignore what I said in my prior message about the isinheader variable -
it isn't revelvant to this problem, and the solution was more obvious
and less kludgy once I figured out where the loop that actually looked
for the first boundary was.
Trying to do something usefull with Content-Type: lines in this kind
of message still looks like more effort than it's worth.
