Tody I succeessfully updated the archive by removing the shortened option and doing "cat old.mbx new.mbx > full". The dbm definitely is in order.
But now the summery page is a bit off mark:
href="0311/date.html"> 9 Nov 2003 bis 14 Dec 2003 href="0312/date.html">14 Dec 2003 bis 1 Jan 2004 href="0401/date.html"> 1 Jan 2004 bis 7 Jan 2004
The 14th was my first use of shortened. The linked pages correctly list 1-31 of every month.
