Hello, all,
I'd like to see us move forward. I'm open to working with Daniel and anyone else that continues to have the time and energy to do so. I would like to see releases that aren't terribly stable (for whatever reason) labeled as alphas and maybe the updates could point that out.
While I'm not all that familiar with CVS, I'm a fast learner and am willing to help out with its maintenance if it's needed, wherever it ends up being located. I'm perfectly comfortable with Ashley's set up since he seems to have it ready to go.
In the meantime, I continue to archive this list at http://www.wildheart.org/archives/hypermail as a backup; similarly, I can set up a different mailing list if and when that ever seems to be the appropriate thing to do.
I'm a good tester (having developed my fair share of code overf the years) and will continue to provide feedback on any and all releases from this group that I'm able to get my hands on.
I'm ready to take 2b13, run it through its paces and give Daniel all the feedback I can. I also have no expectations to do anything other than run it in test mode (it's easy enough to run one email through two different hypermails so as not to impact regularly archived lists).
Believe it or not, my biggest complaint with the current b3 version is that it does not parse eBay URLs correctly. I archive a very active list that is constantly posting URLs to eBay items and I'd be really happy to see that fixed.
The other item I really need is file-locking.
Please, can we just move forward?
Regards,
Darci
