New to Hypermail - Sorting issues

I needed to generate some HTML from a mailbox so I went ahead and tried wmf and hypermail. When using the sort by dates I get some weird results with Hypermail like :

• Fri Apr 08 2005 - 10:40:15 CEST RE: Thread 3 = Receiver Name
• Wed Apr 06 2005 - 18:23:47 CEST RE: Thread 1 = Receiver Name
• Thu Apr 07 2005 - 19:09:15 CEST Thread 2 = Receiver Name
• Wed Apr 06 2005 - 00:14:51 CEST Thread 1 Sender Name
• Thu Apr 07 2005 - 01:20:46 CEST Thread 2 Sender Name
• Fri Apr 08 2005 - 00:20:54 CEST Thread 3 Sender Name

I tried to play around with the config file and especially the use_sender_date switch but without success. When running WMF tool the emails are sorted correctly.

The mailbox is made of emails coming from various IMAP boxes. Searching through the mailing list I saw some posts regarding sorting but I couldn't get a clear picture of the actual situation. Is there anything I should do with the mailbox in order to clean it up before using Hypermail?
