I have finally tried CVS head of hypermail to see if the encoding problems reported in

Sorry that it took such a long time to test it.

When I tried CVS head I found that it crashes on 64 bit systems mainly because "int" was used in some places where "size_t" is correct. A patch is attached.

After fixing the 64 bit problem, CVS head worked fine for me and solved the encoding problems.

Updated "hypermail" rpm packages for SUSE Linux 10.1 and openSUSE 10.2 are available here:

http://software.opensuse.org/download/M17N/openSUSE_10.2/x86_64/hypermail-2.2.0.20070131-9.1.x86_64.rpm

http://software.opensuse.org/download/M17N/SUSE_Linux_10.1/src/hypermail-2.2.0.20070131-9.1.src.rpm
http://software.opensuse.org/download/M17N/SUSE_Linux_10.1/i586/hypermail-2.2.0.20070131-9.1.i586.rpm http://software.opensuse.org/download/M17N/SUSE_Linux_10.1/x86_64/hypermail-2.2.0.20070131-9.1.x86_64.rpm

In these packages, I made the option "set_i18n_body = 1" in ~/.hmrc the default to get everything converted to UTF-8. That works very nicely.

Thank you very much for the good work!
