I've just waited for this day to come. Oh do I dislike charset stuff. If anyone has any great ideas of how to deal with weird (non iso-8859-1) charsets in the mail, please let me know.
Its not that Hypermail isn't aware of that the mail came with a different charset, it is just that it ignores that fact! :-)
